Photo Phriday - Peppers Galore

My pepper plants (bell peppers and hot peppers) have been going absolutely nuts. The fresh ones on the left are the ones we picked today. The bowl on the right is completely full of frozen diced and chopped bell peppers that came from my plants over the past several weeks.

6 Months Old

I can't believe my nephew is already 6 months old. Here he is eating his first piece of celery and this past weekend he cut his first tooth. They are supposed to be visiting during the Thanksgiving/Christmas holiday this year. I can't wait to see him in person for the first time.

This is a picture of my favorite house during the holidays. They always go all out and there is so much to see. Each time we drive by I see something new. This is just a portion of the decorations they have out front. Not in the picture is a scene with Frosty, three Reindeer scenes, and a Nativity scene.

What a difference 6 months can make! My sweet little Riley was only 6 pounds when we brought her home. Six months later she is over 6 times that weight. Yep, she is weighing in now at a whopping 37 pounds. Unfortunately, she has not learned that she is getting bigger. She still wants to be held and snuggled at night while she watches television. I guess that could possibly be my fault.... nah, that couldn't possibly be the reason.

I absolutely hate to clean; if it weren't for my husband my house would be a total mess all the time. However, I do really like my broom vac. This is the best invention ever. Hubby bought this for me in April when I had back surgery. I wanted to feel like I was helping out, but I couldn't push the vacuum and I couldn't bend to use a dust pan. This lovely gadget lets me do both. Now, even though I can use a vacuum and a dust pan, I still go for my handy broom vac.

Today was a work from home day for me, but we did venture out for lunch. Hubby really likes sushi, but I am not a fan. He had heard about this restaurant and found that it had something for the both of us. The look on hubby's face told me that his sushi was very good. My food was extremely good, but that was definitely the most expensive lunch I have ever had.

This is Riley's new stick. Apparently the one that we got her from the woods behind our apartment was not big enough! Abbie is trying to figure out how to get the bird seed from the feeder that is about 4 feet up in the tree. Yes, they are crazy, but I love them anyway.

Abbie, on the left, is sound asleep. With that smile, whatever she was dreaming about must have been really good. Riley, on the right, was getting very annoyed that I was interrupting her cartoons.

Maybe next week I will have time to venture outside of my office and take pictures of something other than my crazy "children".
